By the strong faith in their culture, many Balinese youths dream of becoming the dancer of this old traditional dance-drama, while some want to participate in the music part. Unlike the other part of the world, the popularity of their traditions also remains and retains in the new generation. Therefore, some people could gain many incomes from tourists by presenting their unique culture.

There is some competition of traditional dance festivals between the villages on the island which challenge by a big expensive prize. However, they also have a will to practice their performance dedicated to winning the competition.

There are many developing schools based on the island and remote online courses for the locals and foreigners interested in practicing the Legong Dance. That makes it easy to access the lessons of this cultural performance heritage even from another corner of the globe. Even it was far from those old holy strict days, today's Bali, where many people visit every year, the Legong Dance still shows its pride and impression toward the visitors as always welcome. The Balinese dance drama is more than the usual performance, but it is Bali's identity and soul.
